The knife comes razor sharp. I mean it when I say that it's sharp enough to shave with. My test is always to check if a knife can cut arm hair. It did it without issue. This knife is very comfortable in the hand even with my larger hands. To top it all off it's a work of art the Damascus pattern and the stabilized wood handle is beautiful.

There is a nice balance to the knife just over the rear the heel. The paper test passed with flying colours, the kitchen paper towel test suggested a quick strop was needed. I have been using the knife for a few days now and it a pleasure to use .... let's see if a 64 HRC knife can remain chip free in a careful environment. I just wish there was a thin bladed nakiri White Tiger!

I have bought a number of the shan zu pro series knives and these knives are a pleasure to use. I work as a chef and these knives make my job so much better. They have a good weight, they're very comfortable to hold and they're well balanced (not to mention they're ultra sharp!)

A great knife for a fair price. I love having a heavy knife for cutting hard vegetables or when I will only be cutting for a short time. This is by far the heaviest knife I have other than my cleavers. My kitchen cutlery collection includes some Shun, Miyabi, Enso, Lamson and several Chinese made Japanese style knives from AExpress. The quality is much nicer than any of my other Chinese made knives.

My daughter just started her own bussiness so for her birthday i wanted to get her something special,she always borrowing my knives so i treated her to the damascus copper blades,wow,wow n wow again,they are extreamly sharp and the handles fit perfect in the hand,the balance n weight is incredible.wish id kept them n given her mine.??? Will be on my xmas wish list.

A truly professional product, the knide blade is made of Japanese original SG2 powder steel. Effective cutting length: 20cm, handle: 15cm.Like anything that might come into contact with my body or anyone else's, I smell and feel it. There are no chemical or other unusual smells. I've been using the chef's knife for several months now. It has excellent edge retention.

Fabulous quality knives and real Damascus steel too.TFantastic value and well balanced too. I added a fillet knife, and a leather travel bag and my long suffering super tough Katto knife too….see photo..

Bought for my husband as a gift. He loves it, says it’s sharp, looks great. He stores it in the box hidden away so no one else can use it! Ha ha. Happy with the purchase, makes a great gift and it’s functional too.
